I am pleased to share that this year for my birthday I decided to begin a bday fundraiser for Arts for Animals. This wonderful non profit is one that is very dear to my heart and their mission of creating future artists & leaders in conservation through education is so very important to me. When I began the fundraiser I had no idea what to expect and wow was the spirit of generosity in full display by friends, family, and collectors. Together, with the kind donations, my bday fundraiser was able to raise over 1k for Arts for Animals. These donations will no doubt make a difference and a wonderfully positive impact! Thank you to all who donated in this fundraiser, you all made my birthday so special! 2018 Sketch for Survival Exhibition

From Sarah: My art piece “Pulse of Life” has now arrived in England to be a part of the 2018 Sketch for Survival. My piece, along with artwork from leading wildlife artists as well as pictures from celebrity sketchers will be on display at several venues located in Yorkshire, London, Bathe, New York, and Norwich. These Explorer Against Extinction events aim to raise awareness about species extinction through the medium of art while also raising significant funds to fight wildlife crime & are called “One of the most important conservation events of the year” by Travel Africa Magazine.

The Landscape Collection

A NEW COLLECTION HAS BEGUN: This collection is motivated by my deep and unending love for the natural wonders of our Earth. Each painting is meant to express my gratitude for the beauty and life-giving powers nature provides to us all. My landscape pieces are inspired by my photos & the memories of my time spent outdoors. My wish for each painting is to capture not only the visual beauty of the environment but to also capture what it feels like to be amongst the magic of the landscape. Result of the Raw:X Exhibit

From Sarah: Our trip to Colorado as well as the incredible art filled event at The Raw Canvas was just beyond words! The gallery event was packed with a fantastic group of artists & art enthusiasts. I believe the count of attendees was over 600, so we met A LOT of wonderful Coloradans. A wonderful energy of love, support, & appreciation for the arts could be felt the minute we entered the space. What they have and are building at this gallery is something so very special and I am honored to be included. Bayou City Art Festival Results

From Sarah: The recent art festival in Houston, Texas proved to be such a wonderful experience. We continue to be amazed at every Bayou City Art Festival with the amount of folks who come out & connect with my artwork. We are just so grateful for the existing friends & art collectors as well as the many new ones we met. I am humbled that numerous framed pieces along with many limited edition prints found their most perfect homes at this festival in Memorial Park. Sarah Janece Garcia featured in Art Materials Retailer

I must share a recent occurrence that I am just so thrilled about. As many of you may know I exclusively use Qor Watercolors by Golden Paints. I use it always, proudly, everyday, and in every artistic way possible! A few years back my first original painting, created exclusively with QoR Watercolors, was actually purchased by the Golden family (of Golden Artists Colors, Inc) to be displayed in the Golden Collection in New York. As you can imagine this is a huge honor and a giant highlight of my art career. Well, recently Golden reached out to me again and asked me to be the featured artist in an article written about the QoR products. This is no doubt another highlight for my artwork and myself that I am just so thankful for. I am pleased to now share with you all that the article with my interview has now been published in "Art Materials Retailer” magazine.

Mezze Live!

On Friday the 17th at Mezze Tapas in Mockingbird Station a live painting and art event will be taking place featuring Sarah Janece Garcia!

Artists Ken Womack, Sal, and Sarah Janece Garcia will all be creating art LIVE from 6:00-9:00pm! Artwork from each artist will be on display and the artists will be available to chat about the paintings and the creative process of their work! The event will also feature live MUSIC and a special HAPPY HOUR for any who inform Mezze Tapas that they are there for the LIVE PAINTING EVENT!

Results From the Bayou City Art Festival

I must share that this wonderful art festival was one of the most joyous events Modesto and I have been able to be a part of. The love for the arts and the sheer energy of this festival was truly one of a kind. The tremendous spirit shown by the people in Houston, after being through so much is something I will never forget! I really can't think of a thank you large enough to encompass how grateful we are for the amount of art that is now in its new homes and for the experiences we got to have at this festival!

"Courage" A Fine Art Exhibition

Sarah Janece Garcia is honored and proud to present her work to the Choose Courage Foundation to be a part of the "Courage" fine art exhibition. 

Sarah's watercolor and pastel painting titled, "Soar with Courage" will be available for viewing and purchase at the art exhibit on Thursday, October 5th in Fort Worth, TX. The proceeds from "COURAGE" will be shared with Safe Haven of Tarrant County.

My painting titled, “Soar with Courage” was created for this great foundation and was inspired by the concept that the Choose Courage Foundation holds dear which is, "FROM THE HARD, BEAUTY CAN EMERGE. Survivors of domestic violence have a strength and beauty that inspires hope. They are proof of a life reclaimed and free of violence.” The original painting was donated to help in the wonderful efforts they have done and are doing to break the shame, stigma and silence of domestic violence by celebrating the strength and courage of survivors.

What a fantastic night the POP UP ART EXHIBIT was!! The room was full of excitement, positivity, and an unmatched energy! To see and meet so many with such a love of the arts was incredible and to know that a pop up art show run by artists could bring together such a group of amazing folks, well it makes my heart flutter with glee! Thank you to all who attended, all who purchased artwork, and all who helped make this art exhibit such a fantastic experience.

Diversiform Exhibit

The "DIVERSIFORM" opening reception at Beaudry Gallery and the 2017 DADA Fall Gallery Walk was such an incredible event and a beautiful showcase of artwork! Thank to everyone who made this night so very special! I was honored to have my new mixed media abstraction collection debut at Beaudry Gallery. Please stop by the Design District to view my new originals as well as the other art on display. The artist collective exhibit titled, "Diversiform" runs through October 9th, 2017.
